Frequently Asked Questions

Album FAQs

  • Albums are free for those on the Essentials plan.

    Anyone on the Free plan can create an Album with up to 5 contributors at no cost. For 6 or more contributors, there is a fee that varies depending on the number of contributors invited to participate.

    Only the person who sets up the Album (the “creator”) pays if the contributor count exceeds 5. All invited participants record for free.

  • No, contributors do not pay. It is free to contribute to an Album.

  • No, the leaf app is not required. If the creator of the Album shares a link to the Album with the contributor, the contributor can record a message through the browser.

  • Once you create an Album, all invited contributors receive an email with instructions and a submission deadline. As the creator, you’ll also get tips and notifications to manage your Album.

    You can monitor submission status in the Album dashboard and remind late contributors.

  • Yes, if at any time you need to change the delivery date or time, you can edit your album details directly from the album page.

  • Yes, you can continue to invite additional participants until the delivery date. To do so, go to the album page and click on the red text with the number of contributors you have. You’ll then have the option to add more contributors. 

  • No — recordings made by contributors for an Album aren’t counted toward your free recording quota. Only the creator pays based on contributor count.
